Lavender French 75 Recipe

Lavender French 75 cocktail in a champagne flute with lemon twist and Mayer Lavender Blossom Syrup, with guests in the background

Champagne needs very little help. Lavender Blossom offers it anyway.

A French 75 is already a fine cocktail on its own: gin, lemon, and bubbles. Mayer's Lavender Blossom Syrup adds a soft floral note without making the drink heavy or overly sweet. The result remains unmistakably a French 75, with a gentle aromatic finish.

The syrup itself is warm amber rather than purple. The lavender is in the flavor, not the color, so the finished drink keeps its classic pale gold appearance.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 tbsp Mayer Lavender Blossom Syrup

  • 1 oz gin

  • 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
