5-Minute Raspberry Swirl Frozen Yogurt

Raspberry syrup may begin its life on the bar cart, but it does not have to stay there. Swirled through vanilla frozen yogurt, it creates tart, fruity ribbons that keep their character instead of disappearing into an evenly pink mixture.

This dessert takes about five minutes and requires no oven, blender, or ice cream maker. Fresh berries bring a little brightness, crushed pistachios add texture, and the raspberry syrup does nearly all the remaining work.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups vanilla frozen yogurt, slightly softened

  • 3 tbsp Mayer Raspberry Syrup

  • Fresh berries, for topping

  • 1 tbsp crushed pistachios

How to Make Raspberry Swirl Frozen Yogurt

  1. Let the frozen yogurt soften just enough to stir without melting.

  2. Spoon it into a mixing bowl and drizzle the raspberry syrup over the top.

  3. Fold the syrup through the frozen yogurt a few times, stopping while distinct raspberry ribbons are still visible. Do not blend it completely.

  4. Divide between serving bowls and top with fresh berries and crushed pistachios.

  5. Serve immediately.

The marbling is part of what makes this simple dessert work. Some spoonfuls remain mostly creamy vanilla; others carry a sharper rush of raspberry. Stirring everything into a uniform mixture would lose that contrast.

Beyond the Glass

This is what “beyond the glass” looks like: the same raspberry syrup used for spritzers, cocktails, and lemonades becoming dessert with almost no additional work. Once the bowls are empty, the bottle can go straight back to the bar cart—assuming there is any left.
