Strawberry Rose Latte Recipe

Strawberry Rose Latte made with Mayer Strawberry Syrup, espresso, steamed milk, rose water, and dried rose petals, with a guest in the background

Coffee shops have been turning floral lattes into special-order drinks for years. The technique behind them is simpler than it looks.

The Strawberry Rose Latte pairs Mayer Strawberry Syrup with a restrained touch of rose water, stirred into espresso and finished with steamed milk. A dusting of dried rose petals gives it the polished look of a cafe menu, while the drink itself comes together in about five minutes.

Strawberry brings a bright fruit note, while rose water adds fragrance rather than sweetness. Use the rose water sparingly so both flavors stay clear.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 tbsp Mayer Strawberry Syrup

  • 1 shot espresso or 2 oz strong coffee

  • 6 oz steamed milk

  • 1/4 tsp rose water, optional

  • Dried rose petals, for garnish

Directions

  1. Prepare the espresso or strong coffee.

  2. Stir in the Mayer Strawberry Syrup and rose water.

  3. Steam the milk until frothy, then pour it over the coffee mixture.

  4. Garnish with dried rose petals and serve immediately.
